Belgian team leaves for Emeishan
The 10th World Kungfu Chanpionships are held in Emeishan, China from 14 till 20 October. The Belgian Wushu Federation is sending a full team of specialists in the traditional Chinese martial arts. Kungfu is quite popular in Belgium and we hope that we will bring some medals home. On several occasions in the past the Belgium has obtained very good results, gaining several gold and silver medals.
The team was is accompanied by our vice president, Patrick Van Campenhout who will be not only representing Belgium but also Europe in his capacity of president of the Wushu Kungfu Federation of Europe. Patrick is also president of the Vlaamse Wushu Federatie, vice president of the International Wushu Federation and administrator of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee.
